Duplicolor Vinyl & Fabric Dye - TAN - available at most auto parts suppliers. This (TAN) is a perfect match for the light saddle interior on my Corvette. I also love the way the product performs.

If you want the exact color then contact Just Dashes. (google them) They will mix any interior trim paint for metal or plastic to the exact OEM color match. Other places can also do it on a local basis but get in touch with them.

Pjj, I am the 71 saddle guy. I have bought and experimented with many paints and colors. None of the off the shelf parts will match. You need exact. I am in the process of re-coloring a dash in saddle as well. The original interior colors were of a lacquer type paint. I have bought it in custom made spray bombs from Tower Paints. I have also bought quarts that you can get from the guys Steve mentioned. There were two gloss levels used, Semi gloss and flat. The upper metal dash and dash pad were flat.. I have service bulletin from GM that tells how to paint all interior parts. PPG tech also told me I could use the lacquer on the dash pad and I tested it on a spare dash and it does work. The service bulletin also tells you to use a flat clear over the paint before it flashes. I have the PPG flat clear in a bottle but it was apparently discontinued. Maybe it will work without the clear or maybe try and find another brand flat clear. The flat paint is needed or the glare will be bad off the windshield. I can get you the GM paint codes (they are in assembly mnaual)or you can get the PPG codes fro the Autocolor library site. Again just do not use generic off the shelf colors. They do not match.

Here are the PPG codes for 71 Buick dark saddle interior paint. Flat which would be for the dash is 23453 and semi gloss which would be for the lower metal dash is 23436. I find that for the other interior plastic parts the flat looks best on them as well. Just end me a private message with your address as I will mai bulletin. It is in a book and is easeir to make copies. It tells how to paint all interior parts. The dash pad was covered with a soft ABS plastic so the interior lacquer appears to work well on it. The SEM stuff is good if you have black but any other color and it is a crap shoot on matching. some interior parts like polypropelene plastcis(kick panels) need plastic primer but not the dash pad.

For the seats I would consider having them recovered.
