RPMs at what speed?

OK, it has been a while since I have had a tach working in a four speed 60's car so I have a question about RPM relationship to speed. Seems like in the early days I remember the fact that in a factory correct four speed with a 3.50 +- rear end gear at 60 MPH the tach would be reading 3000 RPM. I realize with overdrive these days that might be 2000 - 2500 RPM. With say a 4.11 gear it might be a higher RPM number. Maybe there is a chart somewhere that details this?

I am looking for opinions here that tell me what I should expect in my GS400 four speed convertible, and I do not know the rear end gear ratio although it is peppy and may be something in the 3.80 range but I don't think as low as 4.11.

    Thanks in advance for comments/opinions

    336/tire height X rear gear X MPH = RPM

Add 150-200 RPM for converter slip.
