Rough spring startup

    Are the stock pressures not high enough? Just curious to what a Stage1 spring will do.

    They are high enough if you never go over 4500 RPM.:) The Stage1 spring boosts the relief pressure to 60 psi.

    Well my existing motor is likely still stock. I know it was rebuilt before but it doesn't drive like anything was done to it. So sounds like I'm OK pressure-wise until I get that new motor.

    It could be that you have a rod hitting the oil pan. That is pretty common anytime you pull of rebuild an engine. Easy to feel with your fingertips. I hope this is the problem.
