I am going a different direction with my 455 build. I have a set of NEVER USED Ross flat top pistons w/ pins and valve reliefs. You'd barely have to take anything off the deck to be at zero. Bore is 4.342" Comp Height is 2.02" Rings needed are 5/64",5/64", 3/16" 1.00" pin diameter Price is $400 shipped
About 12:1, give or take, depending on deck clearance, cc of heads, and gasket used. ---------- Post added at 10:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:43 AM ---------- Not sure but can try and find out on Monday from Ross themselves. I also have a set of speed pro forged pistons and you can easily tell the difference in both the piston and the pin, the Ross are lighter for sure.
I talked to Ross today, the piston weighs 752 grams. Not sure about pin weight, but feels considerably lighter than Speed Pro pins that I have.
