    $300.00
These came out of a 455 bored .030 with stock rods. The motor was then switched to stage 3 heads. So the pistons had to be changed. They have been used but only for about 25 passes and short street trips.
    Mostly show car stuff.
    Forged Ross Pistons
They have 11 cc valve reliefs
    1.975 compression height
    4.350 bore
    1/16 / 1/16 ring size
    Full floating pins with locks
    844 grams approximate weight
They have been sitting on my shelf for the past 4 years and it's time I move them to somebody
who will get some use out of them.

    shipped from Council Bluffs IA

If they are 4.350 bore then they are .038 over. .030 over would be 4.342

But those things have nice notches, could swallow a lot of lift from a big big cam with those babies.

Great price on a really high quality part, too bad I just had to buy some pistons just a few weeks ago......all the great deals come at the wrong time seems like.....

With '75-'76 heads, these would bring the compression up to I would guess without doing the math to around 10.5:1!

Balance the build out with a slightly bigger cam would make for a really sweet deal on pistons for a nice running street engine.

    tubecatgs Finally a 4 speed......

So you're saying if i had a stock 75 455 engine and heads with low miles, (aasume no modifications have been done) these would be a really nice affordable upgrade with not much else other than a bigger than stock cam? No head modifications, maybe aluminum intake... and would it take pump gas (91-93 octane)?

You would have to run the numbers on your build through the compression ratio calculator, but yeah probably within plus or minus a half point?

I can't recall exactly but IIRC I think those later open chamber heads had around 8 to 12 more cc bigger chambers? Should be enough to drop the squeeze down maybe 1.5:1 or so? I would run it through a calculator but I'm not sure what the exact chamber specs are on the open chamber heads? The guestimation should be in the ballpark though.

Not sure what cc those heads are......I assume 75cc but ran the quick numbers with these pistons........I got a stack up height of 10.53 depending on deck surface that should put you sitting some where between .03 to .04 down the hole....with a normal .04 head gasket I get compression in the 10.0 to 10.2 area. That should be pump gas friendly as long as your don't go crazy with the timing

I'm in line pending you measure pistons to verify the actual size as you state 030 but specs state 038. Please measure and respond. Bill

Ok, I thought I was in line but I guess I reread and never actually stated it. No big deal, I will be next in line I guess. Thanks.

ok I took them to a machine shop to get a real measurement.
4.335 at .500 up and 4.332 at the top.
Shipping would be 34.00 to Crosby
If you get them and find they won't work for you I will give you your money back and pay to have them shipped back to me.
I know the worries of buying used stuff.
