Here's the url for Rocky Mtn Raceway in Salt Lake.

It might be nice to get a bunch of regional Buicks out there for some racing this season. I'm thinking some of the guys in MT, ID, OR, WA, UT, CO, NV, WY etc. might make it to SLC if they can't make the trip to Vegas in October. The 2003 schedule isn't posted yet but if we pay attention maybe we can find an event that will fit the bill.

    Hey Gary:grin:
I'm looking forward to racing you again this year. If all goes as planned I'm going to be dropping another second off my et. Maybe I can be a little more competative this year. If I can get a little more consistant and not break out I'm planning on beating you with my SLOWER car:laugh: It should be a lot of fun.

I need a new hat to replace the one I've been wearing that says "Slap me Slick-headed!".

Bring it on big guy. I can take losing as well as winning.

There's always Wendover Jason, but a real track might be more fun. I hear RM is real slow in the lanes and runs are far between.. what do you know abou that?

I have no experience at RM. I went for the races once last summer but I didn't race. My brother in law races there and says there is a long wait on busy weekends. How far are you from me? I just might have to come there at least once this summer just for the fun of it.
If I can get things the way I want them I should be in the low 14's. That would be a blast! When you red light again during test and tune You won't be able to leave me that far behind. I'm going to be on a diet this summer. I think I can loose around 200 lbs. That should be worth a couple of tenths right? Who knows I may just be full of smoke.:puzzled:

Wendover is only 110 miles from SLC. About the same from here. I'll meet you there whenever you can make it. Kirland can easily be talked into a trip to Wendover, too. I'll bring Ben and his '69.. he and John should run close. They run at least once a month from April through October.

The "red light" in Vegas was due to equipment malfunction at the track, not me. Remember the problems BB Sam had, several turbo guys experienced the same thing but they didn't fix it until Sam made them aware. I would still have broken out maybe (unless I'd lifted when so far ahead of Scott) but the red light was bogus).

But WAIT.... There's NO BRACKET racing in Wendover, heads up only. They don't have the electronics for it and provide only ET. NO RT, 60', 330, 1/8, or trap speed. Guess I'll have to give you a few lengths off the line then gun you down :blast:

When I was talking about red lighting I was refering to the first time we raced during test and tune. You didn't wait for the light to evan change. As soon as the first yellow came on you took off. (only interested in your ET:cool: ) Now if you remember right I suffered from the same broken tree that caused you to red light and the difference in ET between me and BBSam was less than the bogus reaction time that I was given. Sure would be fun to have a little party each month this summer and do some racing.

    Jason,

I remember now. Just didn't want the 350 out in front..

I don't usually make it to Wendover every month but if there were a few Buick guys going to be there I'd make more of an effort. Some months there are two days/weekends of racing. I'll let you know when I get the first postcard announcing the 1st event. It's run what ya brung and no holds barred. Lots of rice.
