Anyone ever use 430 hold downs on a 455 style rocker setup?

Just was cleaning up parts yesterday and wondered if it would fit between the rockers and it looks like it would work just fine. Any strength gain using this instead of just the bolts the way I see factory 455 shafts bolted down?

I do it. Works fine. I think the clamp adds strength to the shaft.

Yes those work great on a 455.In fact would not run a engine with more than stock valve spring pressure with out them.I left them off of my 71 racecar one time, and broke the end of the rocker shaft off.I think the early 400-430s had longer shaft bolts too.
