Where can I buy the correct little retainer clip that holds the choke rod to the choke linkage on a '68 4BBL carb? Its a thin spring wire clip. Not sure of the size and I want make sure I get the right one. I was reattaching mine and watched the clip disappear in slow motion as it flew through the air.. Those things are small Also, There are two holes in the carb choke linkage, which one should I put the rod in (from the manifold choke spring)? My old carb only had one hole.
Mike, I think this is what you are referring to: https://quadrajetparts.com/retainer-pin-package-p-279.html?osCsid=4d70e4a4244832fafdb6446934089fdf Yes, those clips do have a tendency to get lost rather easily. I always keep a few in my tool box to replace the ones that go missing.
Yes those are what I was looking at, I was not sure if there were different sizes. I'll get a pack of 10 on order. Thanks
https://www.quadrajetpower.com/online-store/Rod-retainer-clip-5-clips-New-p73489227 You have 2 holes for choke rod. One should be labeled as "reg" and should be used in most cases. The other will be labeled "alt"
