Does anyone know what is the maximum rim and tire width I can run on a stock rear wheel well on a 71 Skylark?
I have 295/50 x 15s on widened 15 x 8 Buick Rallye wheels on my car and feel this is probably as wide as one can run. This tire is about the same diameter as the 245/60 x 15 tires which are almost the same diameter (26.6 in) as the original G60 x 15 tires that came as options (Super wide oval group) on our cars. Some have run rims as wide as 10 inches with proper offset that will clear inside and outside but, just barely. Others will probably chime in on their experiences.
