    tubecatgs Finally a 4 speed......

Looking for a touch higher stance in the rear on my 72 Skylark (rear drum brakes, front disc). I have 14 inch rallies now. I was thinking of going with 15's in the rear. I think the stock rallies I have are 14x6... would i be looking for 15x7 or 15x6 rims with what backspacing (3.5 or 4.25) ? And what size rear tire would look good and fit nice? Thanks

The 15 X 7” has 4 3/8” BS. You can put up to a P255/60-15 on them or a P275/60-15 but you really need an 8” rim for that size. You didn’t say what your front tire size is so it’s hard to make a recommendation. The 15 X 6” wheel is a big car wheel and the bolt pattern is 5 X 5 so it won’t fit a Skylark/GS.

    15x7's Fronts with 245/60/15's

    15x8's Rear with 255/60/15's

Gives the car a nice stance, IMO.
