CPJ Yes, I bought it from Mark@Memory. And I recommend him very highly. The car is exactly what he said it was. All original except a repaint about 10 years ago. Had it shipped here to Connecticut. About 7 months ago I dealt with them on a chrome right side mirror they said was correct but it wasn't and had to ship it back. They did refund my credit card but was still out for the shipping.check the part # with them . good luck .
What was wrong about the one they sent you? Was it non-Buick? I believe all 68/69 Buick models used the exact same right side mirror when it was ordered.
Still didn't catch your name. I live about 5 miles from Mark's shop, and I have had him sell a couple of cars for me and a friend. I usually stop by a couple of times a month. You are right, he is a very honest and straight up guy. The first time I saw the car, I thought it was the same color as mine. Once I had it next to mine, the difference was clear. Here is a picture I took a little while back.
Mirror they sent me was wrong shape. You are correct that 68 & 69 mirrors are the same.The numbers are inside the mirror support base and are marked with R &L check your left side mirror and # for right side is just one number away I beleive. If you want I will take my right side off and e-mail correct #.TOM.thats what I paid them for the incorrect mirror.
No soap I called him and he said he was mistaken. He doesn't have one. I knew I didn't see any in the pictures. The 67 and earlier have a ball and socket and the whole mirror moves. The 68-69 started the one piece style with the mirror that adjusts inside it. So 69Buickgs is correct. He doesn't have the correct mirror for this year car.. OK.. Back to the drawing board.
1968-69 GS Passenger Mirror. I bought this RH Mirror for a 1969 GS. The guy I bought it from told me it was for a 68-69 GS Buick Passenger Side NOS. If there are any 68-69 GS authorities out there, would you please tell me if I bought the real deal, or is it for later years? I will try to attach 3 photos. Thank You, Greg...NEW1966
