Slow day at work today and prompted by members signature vehicle lists I set about making a list of wheels I've owned over the years. A lot of the early vehicles were bought cheap knowing they would only last until the next inspection (MoT test in the UK) When I say cheap I mean *really* cheap - in the $10 - $20 range. Some turned out to be surprisingly good buys and lasted over a year! My favorites? I wish I'd kept the MkIII Zodiac - it was a gem. The Jaguar Sovereign (LWB XJ6) was sadly sold before moving to the US. More recently the Golf R was a blast - but I gave it up before I lost my license! Goes without saying the best of the bunch is the most recent - The '72 Electra That makes 50 vehicles over almost as many years. Happy new Year! Bob In roughly chronological order... Bikes: 195? I've had about 80 cars since I bought my Mach 1 at age 12, and I'm 38 now. I have a picture of the GSX somewhere the day I brought it home in 1985. It was an ex racecar that was put back on the street. Back in the day, it was pearl white with pearl black stripes which had an almost green hue to them. There was evidence it had white ladder bars. By the time I got it, it was plain vanilla white with no stripes. Only the rear spoiler was still pearl. C107 cam, B4B, 850 Holley and and a set of 3.90's. I was 18 when I bought it, about 125lbs with a huge mop of hair. I looked like a brown topped Q tip. I got into sooooo much trouble with that car. Sold it in 1990 for 6500 A board member currently owns it now. I think its still in the same condition it was in back in the 90's The W car was Matador red with a white bucket interior. Bought from the original owner for $2500. Another car that was rode hard and put away wet before I got it. Car was beat up bad but it was one running sonofab...Jen used to drive it back and forth to her job at a Lexus dealer back when she used to wear dresses. The seats were ripped up so she would come home with torn up panty hose Always gave me a chuckle. She drove that car good and won many a stop light drag race with it. Ill dig a coupe out and post up a pic or two tomorrow.
I had a 70 442 4speed for a couple months, it had what I guess was a 69 455 out of a tornado, that car would move to be a stock, clapped out pile. Fella at a gas station wanted more than I did so it went down the road. The w30 cars just scream muscle car kinda like a GTO Judge

I was told that I used to flip cars, and have had over 500 cars in my lifetime. First car, in 1967, was a '62 Ford Falcon 2dr. with a 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree. Next, in '68 was a '65 Ford Fairlane 2dr. hdtp with a 289. That car took one hell of a beating for 2 years. Traded in for a '66 Mercury Comet Caliente. Slower than snailshit. Sold it. In '71 I bought a '70 Chevy Nova, 350 and a '65 Dodge Dart pervertible with a Slant 6. Sold Nova in 73. Bought a '69 Z/28RS. Still have it. From there, it gets crazy as many cars came and went. At several points we had well over 20 cars. The most being 25, mostly later models. Currently, we have 15.
Wow! Quite a turnover for some folk! Thanks for sharing. I managed to dig out some digitized copies of ancient prints. Remember when film had to be sent out in an envelope and you had to wait for prints to show up in the mail? Threw together a composite as an identification challenge
I can get about 7 of them without reading your list, but the original British Top Gear was my favorite TV show and I've got about 75 episodes recorded, so I've got an advantage over most people in the U.S.A.
