Car and motor is in my sig, I am running a Mallory comp 9000 distributor. No box as of yet. I was thinking the Mallory one would be the best and most compatible, but wanted to hear some ideas from you guys. This motor winds up quick, and a don't want a limiter that's gonna leave me with 2 blown up mufflers, or one that doesn't react fast enough.

    Input much appreciated, thanks guys.

The comp series uses the same unilite module I think as the smaller diameter Mallorys. I used an msd 6520 box with mine with no issues, I ran a filter to be safe and had to use the white points wire coming from the box

Pertronix 3 distributor with vac advance, rev limiter, and full time multi spark. All brand new.
Install 20 degree advance locks and advance springs, set the limiter and Go!
    D7150700 or D7150710
For stock plug wires or hei style. Your choice.

    Looks nearly stock too.
    I love mine.

I think most ignition boxes has a rev limiter..... i known the basic 6al and street fire does. Msd also has a stand alone rev limiter but its half the price of a 6al and almost the cost of a street fire box

The MSD Digital 6 box has 2 Rev Limiters, set with Rotary dials on the side of the box. I have the secondary one activated by my line lock.

The D7150700 is same as your original points dist. cap. I think 8mm wire will work. Haven't tried that in many years.

I'm pretty sure the msd 84335 will fit the stk gm points dist as well and then you get the male HEI towers that lock the wires on and a retainer. Might have to give msd a call to verify
