Hey Phil, that Abilene track looks damn interesting man. I just went through their website. And its far enough west that the event could possibly be "sold" to some Colorado, N.M. type guys. Just a thought......looks like a fun track and clean.

Man...I didn't figure anybody'd want to drive "all the way out here"...but seriously, if it would work, let me know - I'm happy to do whatever I can! :TU:

(There are a couple of other Buick guys around here that need to get online, and I know several non-Buick gearheads around here I could arm-twist into getting involved - it'd be good for them!)

Austin to Abilene (TEXAS) = 5 hours or less :Brow:

It's actually a nice/pretty drive, and we've got better steakhouses. :bglasses:

Actually, I wasn't trying to be a naysayer, because I'm up for a good time anywhere! :beer :beer

Wherever the group wants it, I'll be there! :3gears: :TU: :beer

James I am going to step this down a notch. The guys from houston would have to make a 9 hour drive. Thats a long way for them. They are an essential part of our texas group and part of these events. And I think it is better to keep it centralized.

No problem, Phil! :TU: Just let me know if you need anything from me.

Frank - Just a little friendly ribbing, no worries! :beer (we still have better steakhouses, though... :Brow: )

MBTex, that sounds good, but they dont allow fighting there, so I give it a thumbs down seeing how were trying to make it Olds vs. Buick. Just kiddin!!

The Temple Academy site is back up. Looks like the old management is taking over again??

TexasT Texas, where are you from

    Not that I know anything

Just a suggestion as I go past the turn off for this track, but I've never attended or raced there.

I thought if we(can I be included) were looking at a track in Rusk I throw this one out. Thanks.

On a side note the serpentine belt project is progressing and I'm hoping to have it in for this event wherever it is held. Chris Lott could you bring a 8.5 rear end to the event? I'm still in the market. Thanks.
