I'm ready to send my block, crank, and heads off to get cleaned up and ready for the rebuild, and was wondering if anyone knows of any good (ie. quality, quick turn-around, price) machine shops near Cincinnati, OH. Thanks to anybody that can help,

    Matt,

I've had good luck at Hines. I also know some racers who havn't.

Why not just go on down to AM&P. They can't be to far from Cincinnati. Good luck.

There is a small shop in Newtown I sometimes deal with. Trident Specialty Machine. They do good work, but generally busy, so I dont know about turn around time. Their number is 513-271-4940

Having had to rebuild my engine, and replace EVERYTHING but the block, intake and distributor, due in large part to the fact that the machine shop used by my "expert" was not experienced with Buick engines, I cannot stress enough how important it is to get someone with experience working our cars. Take your time and go to the best place you can afford; short cuts with ruin you.

I once had a 1998 Honda Superhawk, but now have a freshly rebuilt 455 in its place. Wife said the 'hawk, stage one or I had to go. The bike took the hit for me.

I also thought I went to a Buick Expert, but ended up making a mistake there, didn't I Fred. (Yes, that Fred)

Good Luck! It seems every bit of knowledge that I have managed to acquire in this hobby has cost me a fortune.
