I just got my repro radio bezel from The Parts Place. It's a beautiful piece that looks and fits perfectly. My question deals with installing the woodgrain over the left and right sides of the bezel. Unlike the original bezels, the repro bezel has the "volume" and "selector" lettering very slightly raised above the surface of the bezel. So, do I need to file the raised lettering down flat so the woodgrain fits perfectly or, does it not matter? Anyone else installed this bezel with woodgrain?
Mine fit fine. I blacked out the chrome behind the woodgrain just for looks. See here: http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/the-parts-place-70-72-chrome-radio-bezel-review.327854/ and http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/70-radio.326523/page-2#post-2762006
