The steering gear box on my '56 wagon needs to be rebuilt or replaced. I wanted to see what other did.
Mine has the original 322 nailhead with power steering.

I found Lares Corp for rebuilding. Anyone use them and give feedback, is there other rebuilding places people recommend?

Instead of removing mine, sending it out to get rebuilt is there any place that already has rebuilt units?

And finally, is there a steering gear box from another make/model that can be used? Or an easy swap?

Might post your question on the BCA forums. I know one active member there had a very active thread.
