You don't have to remove the fender. You can unbolt the wheel well and pull it out from below (3 bolts across top inside of inner fender and 6 or so bolts around the edge of the wheel well). That is how you get to the blower motor, AC box, heater core etc. No need to remove the fender. Other stuff such as the radiator overflow, etc that may be attached to the inner fender need to be removed first.

Forgot, there are also 2 bolts just to the left of the upper a-arm that are easy to see( sticking your head in the wheel well) and remove, and a single bolt (9/16 or 1/2) on the back side lower portion of the inner fender (hard to see). It is on the backside (behind) the 2 obvious bolts...that is used for adjusting the fender, but must be removed to get the fender loose. Good luck.

Don't forget the battery tray area and the bolts that connect wheel well to core support......

Someone posted about compressing it to make it come out easier - do a search.

Yeah.....not a big fan of removing the wheel well with the fender attached. Its a real PITA doing it that way. Its almost easier to just take the fender off and be done with it rather than trying to jack ass the well out. Yeah, you have to take the hood and bumper off, but its a lot safer because there is no way you aren't scratching something doing it with the fender on. You can maybe get away with that on a 442 because of the plastic wells. Just my .02.

Do you guys have any clue what size fastener it is on the lip that connects the wheel well to the front fender? I looked and there are no fasteners/bolts on it. Driver side yes, passenger side - nope and it squeaks something awful.

Well, it depends on where it was made. It could be 5/16-18 thread or it could be coarse thread. Is it Flint cars that got the coarse and the GMAD cars the machine thread? Where's Duane??

If you're asking thread size, just pull one off the passenger side and buy more of the same.
