Is there a way to remove the factory wood decal on a radio bezel intact?

anyone ever done it? Without damaging the overlay? I really want to re-use it.

I doubt it could be saved if removed from the bezel. Pulling it off will sure stretch the decal and the sticky stuff is still sticky. You may be able to get a little Goof Off or something like it under an edge and then just keep soaking it and lift it off ever so carefully. Be sure to use only plastic tools on it. Good Luck.

Its a factory original and seems to be very thick, not really a "decal". Almost a formica material. I'll try the goof off, see how that works.

Success - Heat was the trick. Thanks Gerry! I used a heat gun on low and gently pried them off with a small putty knife. Interesting that underneath is the same label in the plastic and painted black - must be for skylarks?

Isn't that black one on the bezel a sticker too?

No, it is paint. It looks factory.
