PRICE DROP "Rebuilt" 455 in Ottawa $200. Apart for inspection... ***PRICE DROP**** $200 cdn. i have a 455 currently apart for inspection. It was rebuilt when i bought it, and ready to fire, however it did not have spark plugs installed over long term storage, and so there is some oxide in the cylinders. It will require a honing for sure, possibly a slight boring operation. From my inspection, there doesnt seem to be any pitting. Details; I beleive it to be a 76 455 (block, heads, and pistons). Stock replacement cam never run, and crank. Steel rockers assembly (missing 1 button on 1 rocker). Valves appear to have been redone (im no expert). Freeze plugs, and bearings are all brand new. The teflon is still on the bearings, it was never even rotated. The block is very clean inside and out, and has been thoroughly coated with protectant. I beleive its a stock bore, judging from the huge ridge. The pick up tube appears to be a 5/8, and i dont think any oil modifications were done. What it needs; -Honing for sure, possible bore. -Flywheel/Flexplate -Distributer -Carb Why am i selling? I have a 430, and a very reliable 350 in running condition, and am investing some money into a side 455 turbo project, i doubt ill ever get around to this engine. Located in Ottawa, Ontario. You'll have to be a bit more specific. It looks like it has new seals on the oil pump. Havent removed the water pump (also new seals), looks real clean all over. Ive taken the cover off as one peice, havent disassembled the oil pump area at all.
Bump with pix. Open to trades too. The little bit of teflon worn off is from me rotating the crank to disassemble.. Good example of the corrosion described.
