78 buick skylark(x body) leafspring rearend, 7.5. Was going to work and my co-worker behind me on the way in said my car was dog tracking. We measured with a tape from front of rear wheel to body on both sides. Almost 1/2 in. difference! My question: should i take it to an alignment shop or do it myself? Is it difficult to get correct? Thanks guys.Doug C.:Do No:

sounds like either u may have a broken u-bolt, or a loose u-bolt(s).
what has happened is either the axle has shifted forward or backwards on on the springs. if a remember correctly, some axles has an alignment/mounting nub that the first leaf spring sat on/mounted thru to align the axle.

    alec296 i need another buick

i would say broken spring pin in rear leaf. has nothing to do with alignment
you need to repair or replace the spring that is bad
