Hello - I know there are a few variations of stainless/chrome trim on the 66-67 models. I found a really nice Skylark what has fender skirts. I would like to open the rear wheel housing up, but can not find the trim at any of the normal reproduction places. Is it available or do I need to search for original take off? What have you done with your Skylarks?
66 skylark trim should be readily available. 67 trim should be very difficult. Most garden variety 67 skylarks came with fender skirts, so no rear trim. Trim was an option on that year, and the GS guys are always on the hunt for the trim. I think true GS trim is different than skylark stuff, so be careful.
So what would you recommend. I don't want to take the skirts off and not be able to make it look right.
Would 66 Trim work on a 67? Would Trim from a 4 door or wagon work? Is the wheel opening the same? Just trying to think of all the options. I don't like skirts, but like the trim.
