I was wondering who sells the best after market spoiler or are they all the same? Also what modifications are needed for mounting on a convertible if any?

It will not fit stock. The contour of the bottom of each foot will need to be re-shaped to fit the slope of the top of a convertible quarter panel.

Members have described the Parts Place unit's quality as poor. If you want a good one try to find OEM.

Reshaped by filing or do you actually need to add fiberglass. How about the difference between the ones sold by Year one and OPG? I don't want to spend the money on an OEM.

Can anyone help me with this question? I need one real soon.

Not necessarily so. The only place it will show on a convertible is at the top edge of quarter panels, and even then the misalignment is slight. The gap left isn't even since the top of the convertible quarter is slightly curved once it gets above/past the quarter cap piece. Most people would never notice.
Of course GS guys aren't "most" people. :TU:

Like Jim says though, you can shave the pedestal down slightly to close up the gaps and also reshape the ends of the spoiler. Your decision on what you can live with.
