Evening guys. In the process of dropping my rear axle(all loose, down & sitting on tires):D:D

My question is this, what size are the top rear shock nuts? I know that the bolt head is 1/2”. Tried 7/16” & 1/2” but the nut just spins. Soaked them with Kroil so we’ll see if that helps.

Also any tips or tricks to get those nuts off will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Kyle

5/16nc nuts. Short 1/2" box wrench. Has to be on the nut straight. May have to modify wrench.

    Or cut it off.

No the bolt size is 5/16,..the nut will be or was a 1/2 inch, try a 13mm if the 1/2 slips

I torched mine off and drilled for a 3/8 bolt.

I cut mine off with a Dremel.

That seems to be where I’m going to go.

    Just seems quicker & easier.
