i replaced mine several years ago. took my time. used the original as a template. a little trimming here and there and voila.
fits perfectly. this was not the first time that i had removed the old package tray.

I don't know about dyeing the shelf Larry, I don't think it's a good idea. You can try it on the scraps, but if you do the whole shelf if it would be way harder to get it evenly colored. It does look more far off color wise than it should be, it still looks good! I think you should wait until you see a car with the same color interior that has a closer deck color and find out where they got it, what make it is. Put it on your long-long list, maybe... I'm sure you have other projects. Now that you know what's involved, you can do it much faster. I think REM is the only one that makes them maybe PUI, also. Bare in mind the suppliers like Y1 or whatever are constantly changing their suppliers if they can get it cheaper. I know this because there was some new Y1 hood insulation in my trunk when I bought my car. Unfortunately, it was all chewed up from age. I ordered new stuff direct from REM, they told me Y1 doesn't use them now, they use cheaper stuff that's not as good. They also told me many suppliers are changing to the cheaper stuff!

I'm not going to rush it. It doesn't look that bad to me. The only time I really notice it is in the bright sunshine.

Larry, Those are the wrong light lenses you show. The correct ones have lots of circles in them.

Yes, the one on the right is the correct lens. I spoke to several guys at Norwalk. Some cars actually got lenses with a tri shield. Others got the lenses with rings. I have a couple on the way.

While at the car show Saturday in Norwalk, I spoke with Mike F.:TU: (Firestation7) about my damaged dome lenses. Mike had a set he didn't need, and offered them to me free of charge. I tried to give him money for postage, but he wouldn't take it. Today I received them, and they were brand spanking new. Buick guys are the best! Fast with tons of class. Thanks again Mike.:TU:
