I think Im going to piss a lot of buick owners off with this question or what I'm doing with my car but I have to ask the question of what you guys would recommend on a rear end for my 64 skylark with ls1 motor. :af: My buddy was thinking we could hook up a Ford 9", I was thinking a 12 bolt would do it, what do you guys think? Car will be pulling 450-500 horses about the same amount of torque. -Chris
You can build an 8.5" for it that will be a bolt in. Make sure you install a posi unit. The Ford 9" will probably cost at least $1500 since it has to be custom built for your car. A 12 bolt will bolt in but will cost a lil more than an 8.5" Don't know how much you have to spend on a rear.
