Need pictures to ID rear first...No 8" rear 8.2 8.25 8.5 ??? Which one do you have... 10 bolt cover?
Usually what will help sway what you want to do is whether you can even get parts for the rear.
Next what do you expect from your car. tell us what your plans are for driving...drag racing, cruising, more freeway ... light to light action... This will aide in what ratio to choose and if the gear venders is a necessary part as that is an expensive option...

That is a 71-72 8.5" 10-bolt. Very good rear. Lower gear selections are 3:08,3:23,and 3:42.

413 camshaft has what profile? duration lift etc. If the duration at .050 get to above 230 you might have to stay on the steep side of the gearing you have a 4 speed and you want to be able to get 1st gear engaged smooth and with 3.08 it might lug out of the hole... ALL depends on what the profile is.

This usually is one of the hardest things to get over... Guys are always buying a car that has work already done to it and have NO clue what mods were done. They use terms like slightly iver stock mild buikld etc. MEANS NOTHING.... numbers and parts are key.

actual name brand and type parts we need. Edelbock Intake performer, RPM torker Victor jr this is something we can work with. a 280 advertised duration cam or lunati 284 cam, etc we can even work with that. We can go to the inter net and google specs. A lot of time this is why car and truck are sold...people just can not work out the bugs or fine tune adjustments because they do not know what parts they are even working with...so they keep throwing parts and money in areas that may or may not be the problem... shot in the dark... ALL thing can be fixed...we just have to know where the problem is. :)
