Does anyone know if the rearend from a 1970 Riveara will fit/or work in a 1965 Wildcat?

no sorry the suspension mounting points are different. also the width is different

Since the 65 Wildcat is a B body your most likely place to find a compatible rear end would be a something from this list:

    B-Body 61-65

Buick: LeSabre, 1965 LeSabre Custom, Invicta, 1962-65 Wildcat
Chevrolet: Biscayne, Bel Air, Impala/Impala SS
    Oldsmobile: Eighty-Eight, Starfire, Jetstar
Pontiac: Catalina, Star Chief, Bonneville, Ventura, Grand Prix

OK, Thanks for the info. Know where a 65 Wildcat is sitting with no rearend and have a 1970 Riv that I was thinking on parting.

I have plenty of rear ends for 65 Wildcats. Let me know, I can let go cheap.

I'll keep that in mind Ted, if I decide to buy it.

Not sure about the Buick B-body cars, but the Impalas changed the frame for '65. Prior to '65 the Impalas had an X-frame that was changed to a perimeter frame that is interchangeable to IIRC at least '72.

I haven't purchase the 65 Wildcat, just something I've been tossing around a bit. Need to finish the X project before I jump on anything else. Thanks for the good info though.
