I will be installing my rear cam plug in my 455 this weekend, and was wondering. How far into the block should this plug be installed. This is the one that the cam buts up against in the back of the block.
Should I use anything to help seal it into the block.

    Thanks.

It just goes in flush and the cam doesnt actually touch it or atleast it shouldnt. I use gasgacinch or an equivalant on all core plugs and the rear cam plug is just a large core plug to me.

    Correct,

The only thing I can add is that we use Permatex #1 on all core plugs here..

I found this old thread and was hoping one of you can tell me which direction the cam plug needs to be installed?

Just like a freeze plug. The flat side inside.
