I just scored a complete disc rear end from a 80s F-body. I know the brakes can be made to work but the rotors are only 10.5", are these going to be adequate for the heavier A-body? Every rear disc I've read off has 11" or larger. Would the swap be even worth it? Help a guy out.. :3gears:

Hi, in most of the kits to retrofit are rear axles, the base kits come with the 10.5" rotors. These are much better than the 9.5" drums that are currently on most of our cars.

I did a lot of research lately on all of this. I did end up opting for a ceramic brake shoe with HD spring kit. I figured I'd try this first and see what the improvement is. When you start going to the 11" and larger, you start to have to pay a lot more money as new fabricated brackets will be needed to go along with the appropriate calipers. Anything over 11" and you will also have fit issues with factory 15" wheels.

Hope this answers some of your questions.
