I've been wanting to stop by, but have been soo busy with my own 'stuff'. If you're on your way to visit your bro, stop on by, I'm only a few country blocks away! Hey Yards, where's the best place to buy Sunoco 93 octane? Street & York, or Street & Davisville seem to be lower than here in Doylestown... Good reason to cruise the fresh '66. See you soon...:beers2:
Walt I always use the Sunoco Station at York and Street, and usually the lowest price around the area. BTW-Sunoco at Stret and Davisville is closed! George
Well, I was there and had my phone so I took a couple of shots... Dash pad is on and interior is complete except for the dash emblem. <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=interior.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/interior.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> Under hood is done. Just need to add the foamies and the heat riser tube. <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=engine1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/engine1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=engine2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/engine2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=front.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/front.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=front2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/front2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=hoodup.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/hoodup.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=rear.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/rear.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=rear2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/rear2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=top.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/top.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=x1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/x1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=x2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/x2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/?action=view¤t=x3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/1badriv/GSX5/x3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I can't wait for next Saturday for Yardley's picnic!!!! Finally get to see it in person. I may sleep in it! Was working on my Avalanche and trailer all weekend getting everything squared away. Not quite there yet, but I'm close. I'm going to be a nervous nellie towing that down to BG. First time to BG. First time with the new trailer. First time with my "brand new car". Just put a request into Hagerty to raise the value significantly! Thanks, once again Yards, for posting pics. I was envious of you and Nick tooling around today in the GSX!
ken, i gotta ask. is your trailer enclosed? when i towed my X back to illinois from JW'S shop in my open trailer, i was a nervous wreck whenever i saw a cloud. it was a long 7 hour tow. have a great time with your X, what a beauty.:kodak:
Hey John- As part of this extravaganza I picked up a used 2008 featherlite enclosed, so i should be good. I don't think Nick would release my car if I didn't show up with an enclosed trailer! I need to find a night this week to pull the back tires and check out the back brakes on the Av. The rims get way too hot with the trailer on. I may have the brake controller set too high and the brakes are fighting each other. Brakes were installed less than six months ago with new rotors and have minimal miles on them. Something weird going on I need to straighten out this week. I don't want ANY problems towing this sucker to KY!
I just gotta say it one more time- Nick is a true talent! :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :beers2:
Ken - I see a big boat in the background of several pics yet I dont see the trailer hitch for it re-installed on the X ? Dont let Nick forget ....
Duane is scoring me a set of over the counter Buick air shocks with the correct date codes, stamps, and stickers to handle the tongue weight of the boat! :TU:
I havent seen my car this winter as it's been stored over at Nicks shop for a little fine tuning. It's good to see it in good company with Ken's GSX and Whiteys 69, what a fantastic picture. I have it saved as my desk top picture.. The level of detail in the surroundings of Nicks finish shop really shows here, he's good at what he does.. Yardley, my hats off to you for great picture detail throughout the entire GSX restoration process. This is one hell of a great hobby and Nick has nailed this one, an absolutely beautiful GSX. I am totally awestruck. Ken, good luck with your prize GSX and may you win many trophys. Mike Iggycat NJ
Wow, I haven't seen Whitey or that car since the mid 90s, when I was driving up from Florida in my blue 68 convertible. I remember going down the track late one afternoon in that car with Whitey and Billy(?) in the front and me and an ice chest in back. I got doused with ice water on the launch! ou:
Mike I hope you don't mind, but Nick stripped a bunch of parts off your car (as it was just sitting there) and put them on mine. :Brow:  Thanks for the compliments (on Nick's behalf) on the GSX! You certainly know the quality of his work. I'm ecstatic and can't wait to see it this weekend! :beers2: :beers2: :beers2: And yes, Yards did a great job photographing the journey. He's a good dude! Are you going to make it to his house this Saturday?
Ken - Hope my parts look good on your car.. :TU: :beers2: I'm meeting Nick at his house and driving over to Yardleys. Concerned about the weather.. as of yesterday (here in North Jersey) it calls for partly sunny with rain showers expected sometime during the day. I'll be there with or without the car pending the rain. I'm looking forward to seeing your GSX. Have you slept at all lately??? You must be really excited.. Mike Iggycat
http://www.accuweather.com/us/pa/northampton/18067/forecast-weekends.asp 69 degrees with a thunderstorm possible. See you all Saturday! :3gears: :3gears: :3gears:
Rain schmain. We've all had to wipe our cars down in the past. It won't hurt them. Plus, if it does rain, which it won't, it will just be a brief passing shower. Plus I will have a 20 x 30 tent to park under in the event of rain. Bring your car everyone.
I was talking Nick last night. He was telling me, "Well, I need to put those non-cogged belts on and that's pretty much it". That's a good thing to hear from the guy who's restoring your car! :TU: The thumbs up will have to suffice as there's no smiley for turning cart wheels and shooting sparks out your...
I've told you a million times that you won't believe it when you see it in person, and I'm standing by that opinion. Bring a hankie and a diaper because you're going to cry like a baby.... You dad would be proud of the finished result.
