"The iron tunnel ram manifold was made to fit the large intake port heads that had the pushrod tubes running through the ports." The intake on our 4-Bolt main motor, with the Tunnel port Stage 2 heads (with the pushrod tubes running thru the ports) was not iron but was made out of aluminum. According to Denny Manner Buick never made an intake manifold for that configuration. The tubes were fabricated by hand and mated to an Offenhouser 360 aluminum intake for I believe 2 4BBLs. If memory serves me correct the Offenhouser part was taken from a Mopar aftermarket intake. I am sure there is a picture of this around here somewhere. Found it, here is a pic of Denny with the motor. Duane
In reality an IR manifold would be an easy deal, just use the TA flanges, 3/8 plate for the valley cover and you can get square to cast elbows, machine some flanges for the TB's and your there, the linkage is what would drive you nuts
I know the racer I got the X block from mentioned in my tour that he ran hemi four speeds behind many of his built Stage II motors for durability and sometimes modified Mopar intakes on them also, but I was too excited to see the rumored 4 bolt main X block to pause long enough to discuss Mopar transmissions & intakes heh heh
I have looked for IR intakes for Mopars to no avail. I had planned to run Borla or Inglese stuff in a Buick. I know the V6 had them
