Ran a '69 Chevelle tonight. Finally got the motor mostly dialed in from the Thumpr install. I definitely surprised this guy. It was a really clean looking pro touring style car. If I had to guess I'd say it was built small block. Definitely had low gears. We got after it at about a 20mph roll. We stayed even through first gear and second gear. He just started to pull on me right before I grabbed third when we let off. At the next light he rolled down his window with a grin on his face wondering what the hell I had done to my car. :Brow: I've seen the car at a few local cruise ins, hopefully I can chat with him, seemed like a really cool dude. I know he would have whipped my butt in an actual 1/4mi drag, but my big Buick is surprisingly agile in street light combat. Thought I'd share! :beers2:
Thanks guys! :TU: If gears and a posi were available they'd already be installed! Anybody got a set of 3.42's or 3.91's they'd like to donate to the cause? :Brow:
