Skip and I reached an agreement to sell me back the green 71GS 4spd and do a body off resto. After keeping an eye out for two years nobody else has admitted to having a #s matching 71 GS455 4spd ragtop or a Stage 1. It would seem to be a scarce commodity. Where did they go? Skip's told me that he will post progress on his web site and BPG so we all can see it come apart and go back together. We'll be doing this as a faithful restoration back to factory made. Same colors. No discussion about that. Lime Mist wouldn't be my first choice but that's just one of the oddities about this car. I have a couple exceptions in mind but they would be factory options that would allow this car to qualify in the F.A.S.T. races. I'll leave it to Skip to fill in the details. and I'll chime in as we go along. This car is such a rarity that it deserves to be done right, and we've decided to make that happen by next summer. Yippie!! Hope you enjoy the show! :TU:
EXCITING The whole shop and many Buick friends have been waiting for this car to be restored. I know we can count on the Buick community to assist us with correct information as this project moves forward.
First Question Here is the first of what I am sure will be many questions. Is a 1970 factory AM/FM radio the same as a 1971 model? TIA,
