hello all. I recently fabricated a center console for my 66 skylark. I mounted speakers cup holders and cig lighters and an mp3 iPod controller radio in it. I was wondering if it acceptable to mount a battery in the trunk to power these instead of running all the wires under the hood. Wasn’t sure if this was possible or safe. Thanks

12lives Control the controllable, let the rest go

All you need is a switched 12v. You can pick it up at the fuse box. Run a ground to any bolt under the dash.
