It's a "Grandsport"---must not belong to one of us.

I could be wrong, but that fuel pump sure doesn't look high enough to support 850hp to the wheels or feed 2 holleys the right way

I don't have a dog in the fight, but I'm not so sure this is a good deal....been over a year since I first posted it: http://v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1967-gs-drag-car-bounty-hunter-13-000.329094/

I'm not badmouthing it at all, my motor making less power needs more fuel than that pump can provide.......if ta holt the motor, I'm sure a quick call could verify it's TRUE hp potential. but on a pump that glows only 100ish gph through what looks like 3/8 line just is not enough fuel to feed 2 Holley 4bbls to the level of 850hp to the wheels,........that closer to 1000 at the crank..........a 1000hp buick motor alone would go for more than 12500, let's just be honest

If that car is rust free, it would be worth the 12k. How many rust free 67''s are around? You could have a bad azz ride:)

Maybe if they'd have gotten drunk after they sold instead of before they shot the pictures then maybe it would be gone by now. Just sayin...

this car is legit. was a heavy hitter in the street and track no time action back in the day. as far as the fuel pump that is not a huge issue. Ask mike ta what pump and line he has on his car. I was amazed myself how small it is for how fast the car goes.
btw i bet this car has 2 pumps because i am sure there is nitrous on it also. these guys are no joke.

They would have hustled the hell out of me then, because it looks like a team of Darryl's and Donny's put this thing together,...ha

Looks like something "JJ Da Boss" would run

I dont see any nitrous solenoids in the engine bay, but maybe they are hidden. from what I see I would not think this motor would make 850 to wheels........

First off don't underestimate the no time street racers.
This car is very well known in the NY area.
What ever you think it runs it's faster.
There are a good amount of buick engines out there that make alot of power and are in grudge cars.
I have personally seen one that was built by sonnys that had so much one off stuff on it for a buick 455. It was built and used for 3 separate races. Total purse won was 100k with that engine.

I have seen some great street races out there! Heck, one guy wrecked his car and came with another duplicate the next night! Man, they blocked off the road!

If it is that fast the guy has some serious stones beyond just going that quick. There's drum brakes on the front.

I ran 4 wheel manual drums on mine till just a few weeks ago.........running mid 10s at mid 120s, had no stopping problems at all running 11.0s and 10.9s at just under 120.

if where he raced it was only 1/8 mile with decent shut down. might not of had any issues at all

We ran drums on a high 10 second 66 Chevelle too with no issues. But if this car is faster than we think it is, I'm thinking it's deep in single digits in the 1/4, and that's a whole different ball game. Your 1/8 mile comment is spot on, and I realize most street races in the cities are probably 660 or less. I find it interesting that it hasn't sold. If one of the bad boy grudge cars around here was for sale for 13k or less, it wouldn't make it a week before another racer or someone wanting to get in bought it, let alone a year. I'm not doubting anyone's comments, it's just interesting.
