    Daves72 I get jokes.

This may be common knowledge but I didn't find anything using the search function.

    Here's a link to the product, part # RM-9070

I watched a YouTube video on Jay Leno's channel where they had a Tremec rep speaking who referenced QuickTime bell housings. This was the only automatic one for Buicks that I saw but there are also several BOP housing for manual transmissions. I didn't see one for a 4L80E though, only the 4L60E.

Are looking only at bell housings? There are adapter plates that serve the same purpose. I use an adapter plate and shimmed TC without issue with my 455/4L80e pairing.

I figured a bell housing would be more robust but it will be a while before I'm looking at a trans swap. There's much to do before I get to that. At any rate, I thought I'd share with the folks here.

Unlike the 4L60E and 6L80E the 4L80E has a one piece transmission case. The bell housing is not removable.

The early 4180's were a one piece Bell, the later are a bolt on bell

This is good information but all depending on price point and build, an adapter plate is an effective solution. It is simply a good consideration.
