Thanks for the reply, I had hopes of an easy one shot fix. I am getting lazy in my old age. As to when it shift now, the hood tach shows about 4K but I do not trust it so I am going to add another tach temporarily to set the shift points. She doesn't know it yet but the wife is going to sit in the passenger seat and record the rpms at the shifts. She will be thrilled!!!
While the wife is recording the rpm it shifts at, have her watch where the rpm falls to as this can make a big difference if it falls out of the rpm range where it is making good torque and can make the car fall in it's face (probably not with a bbb) but can be optimized.
