I bought new brake/fuel line clips from OPGI for my 64 convertible skylark. They are a maroon colored clip with different sized loops on the end. First I had to drill out the the old ones that looked like they were riveted into the frame. The new ones look like they should press in but they spring back out if you tap them into place. How are they suppose to be held into position? The old ones had the large loop on top and the 64 skylark manual shows the small loop on top. I dont know if it makes a difference?

    Thanks for you help

Posting a pic of the old and new would help a lot, if you can.

Just put these on my Wildcat frame.

You are right, they look like they should just press it, but they won't stay.
What I did was to push them into place. Then I place a Torx screwdriver slightly smaller that the hole in the rivet. I then tapped on the head of the Torx screwdriver with a rubber mallet, which spead out the sprangs (or whatever they are called) into the frame. You want to use a punch or, like I did, a Torx screwdriver, that fits kind of tightly, so that it pushes the sprangs out behind the metal of the frame. Mine are as tight as can be and the new fuel an brake lines are installed. If I could figure out how to post a photo, I would, but I'm clueless about picture posting. I'll have to get my brother-in-law to help me, but it will be tomorrow afternoon at the earliest.
Oh, one other thing that I forgot. Make sure that you put them in with the fuel and brake line on the correct side. On mine, the brake lines went of the bottom and the fuel lines on top.
    Good luck,
