I purchased a QJet from Mark and ordered a Stage 1 intake from TA. Is there something else I need to do for the choke? Do I need to get an electric one? I don't have experience with this setup as I am converting from a 2 bbl.

    Thanks

I believe TA has the intake mounted choke available for that intake. I'm not sure how well they function. For electric choke, Kens conversion to the early Buick is available. It would need a key on power source.

You should get a 4 barrel accelorater cable also.

Do I need the 4 barrel accelerator cable along with the long bracket or does the long bracket make up for not having a 4 barrel cable?

    Thanks

The 2 barrel is center of intake, 4 barrel obviously is forward more so you need more travel and a longer cable. Mount should not make a difference.

This is something that I never even considered. I am about to convert from a two barrel to a four barrel. Are you sure it's necessary?

Yes I'm sure. You can try without but the secondary's usually Only open slightly. Had some that it would not open at all.

You will need the 4-barrel fuel line too. I used this one...

I would install the PCV grommet and valve while the intake's out of the car. The grommet was super stiff and the valve pushed it through to the valley pan when I attempted to install it on the car. Intake had to come off to retrieve the grommet.

Sensors should swap over to the new intake. Now would be a good time to replace the little hose comes off the thermostat housing.

Ok well I'm glad to find out before I tried putting it on and driving it. So I guess I'll order one of those.

As for the fuel line, I am not running a quadrajet, I am gonna be running a Holley so my plan it to cut the stock line, flare it and install a soft line with a fuel filter going to the carb.

Don't get a glass filter kit. They leak and break . Then car burns to the ground. And unless your a good Holley tuner get an air fuel meter to tune the carb. No vacuum secondary crap either. Recurve distributer to help the Holley perform. You was a max timing at 32 degrees all in by 26-2800 rpm.

Is there a place to get an aftermarket throttle cable for the conversion? I'm not having any luck sourcing a used one. Thanks for the advice Grandpas67

Ta performance has 4 barrel cables. It's same as big block cable. The parts place in may have them also
