There are 4 nuts that you must remove to get the axles out. When you look at the flange where the lugs are there are some holes big enough to put a socket through to remove the nuts.Don't be surprised if you must use a slide hammer to get the axles pulled out.I have had them in so tough, that I had to really heave on them and also had ones that pulled out effortlessly.

Just like Pat and Steve said they are held in by 4 nuts on each side behind the axle flange. You will see a large hole in the face of the axle flange between the axle wheel mounting studs. After removing the 4 nut the axles show slide out. The "C" clip type axles don't have the large access holes in the axle flange. Did you buy a Eaton Performance positive traction unit? It's been my expearance that's the way to go :3gears: AL.

Thanks alot guys, the posi unit came out of another 10 bolt we had laying around so we figured we would put it to good use along with a set of 4.10 gears.
