Hey @Dan Gerber and @hugger , just for reference as I had this issue/confusion last summer. Trying to determine what I had. And hugger is a good guy to know and work with. Very knowledgeable. As well as everyone else on here, very helpful!

I have a 70 GS with a 76 455 block. So my pulleys are the 1235777 crank and 1235778 water pump. I did buy the "long nose" water pump and had someone install it.

As for the accessory brackets. I have the later metal style lower alternator bracket for 71 and up. No part number is on my bracket but looks similar to the picture attached I found online. I am also planning on using the same style upper bracket shown for my AC unit whenever I attach it. I tried to compile "what I thought" was correct for a 70 bracket setup and a 71 bracket setup from searching the V8 site (second picture) .

I also have a 1971 shroud which has a 22" diameter opening so I need a 20" fan. 1970 shrouds are 20" and require an 18" diameter fan,.

Hopefully some of this helps you in your setup and doesn't hurt you. As you can see its fun to have a 70 GS with 71 and later engine components. Long nose pump moves the pulleys and fan ever so slightly forward and requires different radiator bushings as well. That's a whole nuther story. You'll need to find 71 and later radiator bushings. Part numbers 1236777 and 1236778

OK, but it will have to be later today or tomorrow AM. I've got some slightly higher priority non-Buick issues to resolve first.

    Thanks hugger.

The package arrived yesterday safe and sound, hugger. Thank you for helping me untangle my mess with these pulley and bracket combinations.
