Hi All - I am in the process of overhauling many systems on my project, and am looking for suggestions on fuel line. I have picked up the RobbMC 1/2" pickup with -8AN accommodations, and will be plumbing -8AN line from it to the TSP-supplied mechanical fuel pump to feed a TSP-built 482 with TA's Stage 1 SE heads. I have been looking around and asking for recommendations on hose to run, and have heard Aeroquip push-lock hoses as well as PTFE-lined hoses both highly recommended. Does anybody have strong opinions on one over the other? Fuel used will be pump 93 and mostly street driven, but with modern-day fuel and lines, it seems line deterioration isn't as big of a deal as it used to be. Amongst the PTFE-lined hoses, does anybody have preferences to brand? Is Earl's UltraPro really worth the added cost over Aeroquip's equivalent, or the more economical choices you see online (e.g. JEGS, Summit, Fragola, Russell Performance, etc.)? Thanks for the help! Andrew
I just bought all my PTFE fittings and hose from Redhorse Performance https://www.redhorseperformance.com...C--H6Oy3N_hnVnwZcW32PgW8IoiKwzGAaAhkKEALw_wcB I really wasn't liking what i was seeing for Earls or even Aeroquip.
I used Earl's and have had no problems. Just remember, you can't use Earl's hose ends on Jeg's or Summit hose. Hose and hose ends must be from the same manufacturer. Fittings, it doesn't matter. Earl's has a very large selection. Earl's were also made in USA, at least four years ago when I did my fuel system.
Do not use Summit brand. I purchased-an8 braided hose from them several years ago and it was not actually -an8 but smaller.
Someone on here used this company and was very pleased with it so I bookmarked it for future reference. We will probably use this outfit when the time comes on my buddies '67 GTO project. https://hotrodfuelhose.com/
The red horse stuff is really nice for the $ as well,..I think the Vibrant is the best bang for the buck overall tho,..
