Proportioning valve/header clearance

    I've read that some headers require that the proportioning valve be relocated for clearance purposes. I'm in the process of redoing the entire brake system and want to address this now as I'll be running new brake lines this week. Should it be moved further back to clear headers and avoid risk of boiling the fluid?

    I just put a IN LINE TUBE proportioning valve in my 71 455 with ta headers its tight i had to move it back about 3-4 inches and wrap the lines with header tape hope it helps

    Thanks Steve. It does help. I wasn't sure if I needed to move it or not. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
