Thought I would spare everyone numbers 2 through 6. I hope I am getting closer to having what I want. Take a look and feel free to critique.

Belt length is currently 57 inches and the nearest belt is 56 inches. I think I am going to have to get a belt in order to get a final fit.

Photo is a little blurry, need to work on that.

What is your next step after you get the belt? Will you mock it up in the engine bay before you get the brackets machined?I love prochargers cool project.

The next step is to put it on the car check the clearances. I may have to do a little clearance work on the driver side wheel well. It has been nice to have spare engine to work with.

Is that from xsperformance.net? Don't they include the bracket?

As far as I know they are not using the cellulose(wood) brackets yet. I think Mike's setup is for the D1SC prochargers. I have a D-1 and have some different ideas on how I want to do it. This project started because I got the Procharger given to me and have proceeded on from there.

Here is a picture with the power steering pump installed. Going to mock it up in the car tonight and see how that comes out.

I think I am ready to start cutting Aluminium. It looks like it will fit in the car perfectly. If you see any problems, or just have a little different idea throw them at me.

Aluminum has been cut. Should have it on the motor Sunday.

That one does look better than the 1st mock up. The only concern I can see as being a "possible" issue is the belt flapping in to the water pump pulley. you'll just have to keep a close eye on it, and be very careful *not* to put to much tention on the belt to keep it from making contact. If it hits try a smaller belt size to gain more clearance.

    Xsperformance.net does kits for P1SC's, D1SC's, and F1 Series Blowers. I don't think he's done a older D series or a F2 yet.......

    Nice work!

    Thanks Rich,
I have set it up with a belt now and have about 3/4 of an inch clearance on the water pump pulley. You brought up a very good question about belt tension, how much is too much?

I will not have any new mockups until next week. The spacer for the crank pulley will be done then.

You only want 1/2 inch of movement either way from side to side to be correctly tightened.

    So..... 1/2 <(belt)> 1/2

I'd say you want between 3/4 to 1/2 inch of play on the "longest" section of the belt. No tighter or you will loose the front bearing.
