Finally went back out to the track today to run the skylark. Made 5 passes with no major issues. Went 9.96, 9.97, 9.98, 10.02 and 10.05 lifting. 5 to 6 pounds of boost. Best mph was 139. Just need to get the 60 fts better than the 1.55 which are too slow but it runs out the back door great. That was foot breaking it also. No trans brake in the car yet.
Charger is an F1r. Rear gear is 3.73 10 bolt. Weight 3900. Turbo 400 with a governor no manual valve body or trans brake built by mark deconti. Motor is 464 short block by bobb and geoff of finishline motorsports. stage 3 heads with minimal clean up. Just had some new valves installed by gessler do to last years engine failure. Car was strong for the low boost setup. Hopefully at cecil in the cool air we will turn it up to try and improve on my 2 previous best passes of 9.12 at 150 mph. We tested yesterday just. To shake down the car because my dad will be running at bpg in this setup. Hope he can handle the top end charge.
what is your compression ratio? Do you know what the hp is N/A? I would like to get a procharger for my 71 lark.
Looks like he is over 1000 hp to run that fast!:beers2: One calculator said 1200 HP another said 1000 HP based on the quarter mile times and weight...
My son will have to chime in but I think comp is 9:1. There were a few videos on utube from a couple of years ago that Dave Shaker took. Maybe you can check under John Csordas Procharged Skylark. I will see if my son can link it.
