Brian, do you know anything about 'Precision Automotive'? They list the RW507AR bearings on Amazon. I couldn't find any more info about the company online. https://www.amazon.com/Precision-Au...e=UTF8&qid=1494649358&sr=8-1&keywords=rw507ar They even list the oil seal for the large axle 66-69, #9116s, same as the old Timken number. Supposedly crosses to the SKF 14088..... I can't find dimensions for either of those numbers. https://www.amazon.com/Precision-Au...?ie=UTF8&qid=1494649737&sr=8-3&keywords=9116s
Not familiar with them, and I didn't use any seals with those numbers.Any time a find difference in a part actually used versus what is listed in books or info,I make a reference of it,so the next time I do it,I know exactly what to get.I may make a notation that says "use this seal",or "use this bearing",etc. My BCA master book lists the 8594S for all of the applications that we mentioned. I don't have any notations or changed numbers there. The axle housing is like the shaft itself, for the 68-69 GS. They enlarged the diameter for the bearing itself, but kept the same seal. The last few GS rears that I did, were 1970,so they had the popular SET9/712146 combination, but I used the 8594S for the previous 68-69 GS rears that I did.I have a stock of the correct RW507GR bearings. USA-made Federal. I have sold these with the 8594S seals, and I haven't had anyone tell me I sent them the wrong seal. If I have, please speak up,so we all stay on track.
wkillgs: Precision Automotive is "Bearing Technologies" located in Avon Ohio. I purchased the last RW507AR bearing that Amazon had in it's inventory, and am waiting for Amazon to restock so I can get the 2nd bearing I need. They say it will be a month, even though their supplier, "Bearing Tech." says they have them in their inventory.
