After 234 days, hero wagon finally comes home!! Dear Buick fans, Back on the day before Thanksgiving of last year, my venerable 1965 Buick Special station wagon was whacked by a German sports sedan. Thanks in part to the support of the kind folks here, I managed to have the damage repaired, the car repainted, and a substantial bit of exterior restoration done. Finally, 234 days (almost 8 months) after the accident, the car is finally back home in our garage!! Below are photos just after the accident and the completed repairs: There are more photos and a description of the car's history in the V-8 Buick garage: http://www.v8buick.com/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=31617. The car has been in our family since we bought her second-hand in 1968, and she has had a full-life. This car was no barn find. She's been a working-girl all her 46 years. So it's a real treat to see back in her splendor again! Enjoy everybody and thanks for all your help!! Cheers, Edouard :beer
Me too!! This tickle your fancy? The car was originally from Kansas City......"Jerry Smith" dealership. Any Missouri members remember this dealership?
Surely not, long way from down here by Cincy. Sorry for delay in response, don't get email thread replies anymore. Guess you have to change emails to get them, not going to happen any time soon.
BBB powered '66 Beaumont Sport Deluxe. Built in Canada and sold by Buick / Pontiac dealers in Canada only. I installed the mild BBB 462 / TH400. Thanks for lookin' EH !
Unfortunately I don't have any decent pics of my current project other than a lot of parts but I do have 1 completed car.... Here is the Buick I am working on. It is a 1964 Buick Electra convertible with the bucket seat option and a dual quad 425. This pics was taken in 1973... This is the engine after I tore it down and unstuck it. The engine only had 10 miles on it before I started but it stat for about 15 years... This is my Cobra. I built from the ground up.... here it is again....

Mike, Welcome to v8buick and to the '66 Skylark / Special / GS world!!! Might want to stay away from that Jimmy guy; don't think he knows much about the 66's!!! BIG BIG LOL! Hope you post a few progress pics occasionally. Here's a couple pics of my red Special conversion to basically a GS clone (minus emblems & side trim). It's a fun ride now with a '65 401 & ST400 and 3:55 gears and bucket seats.... You and Jim have fun! Steve
