Love those moments in life where you are given a small glimpse at how God works in another's life.

Never doubt the power of prayer. True, sometimes prayers may seem not to be answered......and usually not on our desired timeframe........but God honors the righteous desires of His children, and does answer prayers.

    May God Bless

Eric, do you wish to share this particular moment? I understand if it's a private matter.

Ok. I lead a men's bible study. One of the men in the group is married to a non believer.....or maybe a very reluctant believer is a better way to put it. We have prayed for him and his marriage before this day in study. They struggle, and the different beliefs play a large part in that struggle.

His wife agreed to go see the movie War Room. The movie is about a woman that converts her closet into a prayer room and tells the story of prayer saving her marriage. He asked her how she liked the movie. She said she liked it. He was reluctant to ask further because she can be defensive if she feels he pushes faith on her.

Well, that night after they saw the movie they were hanging out in different rooms of the house. His wife was in their room. He hears a HUGE crash come from their room and runs to see what it was.

As he enters the room he stares in disbelief. His wife is standing in front of her closet. The top shelf has collapsed and took everything down to a pile on the floor. There before them both is a closet with bare walls.......just as in the movie they had both watched.

Then SHE says "maybe God is trying to tell me I need a prayer room"! My Christian brother was in stunned silence.

A few days later, as we are praying at the end of bible study, I pray for their marriage with the group.

About an hour after bible study he sends out a screen shot in an email of a text he got from his wife. It simply says "I prayed for you today...." Along with an unrelated question to him.

He shares with us in the email that this is the first time his wife has ever said she prayed for him. He then says look at the time stamp on the text........the same exact minute we were praying for his marriage in men's study.

God is great. Life, and particularly marriage, is not always easy. I could not do marriage without God and a wife that also believes. As I said originally, I always appreciate when you get those glimpses into how God is working in yours or others lives, and particularly through answered prayer.

I can not say exactly why, but one of the lessons God has been teaching me in the last few years is the importance of prayer. Also the importance of obeying when the Holy Spirit puts it on your heart to pray and do something. We are taught this in scripture, but sometimes knuckleheads like me need real life lessons.

Awesome! Thank you for sharing. I hope his wife continues to believe even when times are rough. That seems to be the time that some lose faith. They don't realize they don't have to go through those times alone. God is right there. All one needs to do is pray.
