I have a 72 Buick Electra 225. I have over time realized that the power steering is way too sensitive, especially when compared to modern cars.

Is there a way that the power steering can be hardened or made a little less smooth? This would make driving to and from work a lot easier :3gears:

    Thanks in advance

People usually complain about the opposite --too much slop and want it made more sensitive.

There are a number of services that will change the ratio in your steering box to decrease sensitivity or you can buy a new box with a less sensitve ratio.

If you have just begun to drive the car I suggest you wait. You will soon adjust to it and it will begin to seem normal.

    I guess u r right!

I think you are right! I will get used to it rather then trying to fix it.

    Thanks a lot!

I hear you on that, my steering is really loose, but after driving it for a while it all seems normal.
